I can't get into a pissing match about every console released since '94 and why they shouldn't just be written off as 'crushed by Sony'. It's a rather snap judgement and a bad remembrance.
I'll leave it at that. I'm not going to argue for the sake of arguing.
I hope not it's not PS3 exclusive. I don't mind playing a Bioware game on my PS3, but I prefer PC. I'm already kinda annoyed at Bioware for not focusing more on the PC. Business is business, but I get frustrated when as soon as they start making console games, their PC fans start getting second-class treatment like delayed ports (KOTOR, Jade Empire, ME). At least Dragon Age used PC as the lead platform this time around. I remember when it was going to drop first for the PC then later for cons...
Congrats.
I still have a computer I bought in 2003 and it runs very well. Even when I play games on it. So do my PS2 and Gamecube both of which I've had since about the same time. There's nothing wrong with expecting your hard-earned purchase to last a 'reasonable' amount of time. If you're taking care of your equipment, just under 2 years is a pretty short time for an expensive piece of tech to burn out.
That goes for PS3s, 360s, Wiis, laptops, desktops, electric gu...
Damn high hopes. Dunno how likely but, you can add me to the total.
+1
"Are you saying they are going to connect two games together and the way we play ME2 will effect the entire ME3 campaign?"
Yes, pretty much.
"Seems like that would turn away some customers.. "
What's so wrong about an RPG trilogy where your decisions actually matter? That's a pretty epic saga spread out over three games. If you carry over decisions from the first two games, the last could be quite different for each player.
FFXI was not a 'disaster'. It was an MMO.
I suspect most console gamers think 'it sucks' because they never played an MMO before FFXI. Everyone keeps judging this alongside the other SP FFs when in reality it's not meant to play like those games at all. It is meant to play like WoW or EQ. It is a totally different animal which should have totally different expectations.
You might as well complain that FFXII didn't have enough FPS action. It's that different.

True. There's nothing more annoying than when they're obvious about it.
You need something more subtle like the smooth flavour of STARBUCKS COFFEE. Exciting blends of exotic coffee beans served to you by professionals, with a smile. Stands out in just the right places without making a scene. Mm. Love that STARBUCKS COFFEE.
It's a good market for ads. I don't mind because ads can potentially add to the realism as in other forms of entertainment.
Just don't go crazy to the point ads hurt the product itself. I don't want to see a McDonalds in GoW.
The Sixaxis isn't one of the worst ever. It's more like, a disappointment considering the expectations. Steel Battalion shouldn't count, it's an enthusiast's controller for a very niche game.
My picks would be *drumroll*
MS's original Xbox controller. Was Shaq in the focus group?
Nintendo's NES brick was one of the most painful controllers I've ever held. Absolutely no thought to ergonomic design went into it.
The Atari Jaguar controller was...
No, 50 cal is not right and neither are you. Both of you need to read the article if you haven't and learn your gaming roots.
Devs didn't suddenly start pushing the limits of available tech in 1994.
That's just some guy's opinion.
At least MGS is trying to do something beyond 'aliens have invaded! saddle up!" Most games can't move beyond rampant clichés and even when they do, can't craft a genuinely interesting story like MGS.
I confess the story can get far too complicated for my personal tastes (I preferred everything before MGS2 because it was grounded more in reality) but it's far from bad. So you won't find me calling Kojima a genius or MGS the ...
Maybe I don't want to play a game that only caters to the social. That's a little too forward thinking for me. I often play games to disconnect from that stuff because it's a genuine pain for me.
I don't doubt it could work. Tbh, I think any game calling itself a WoW-killer is kidding itself if it can't pander to the masses and not just gamers. But at what point does a great game become simple and trite enough to be a glorified 3D chat room?
At the end of the day y...

It's been scientifically proven that you can disagree with someone while maintaining civility.
Old article is old. May 25th? No wonder the author is just guessing at which is good.
Not much to get. One of the flavours is marketed as Horde, the other Alliance. They're the prime opposing factions in the game.
@mistajeff: Not Unreal, Bioware's self-made Eclipse engine.
The Ballot of Gay Tony: Voting Frenzy!
20GB of space, wow. Even ME was only like 12GB.
This is going to be massive and awesome.
One too many angry gamers waiting for them at the last stop of that gravy train.
I like that games today add more balance and give the player more of a fighting chance, but most overdo it to the point of redundancy. At least that's the way it seems to a long-time gamer like myself.
Don't stop at the camera, MS, you can upgrade more.
